The “Box” is a multi-storey commercial development located within the Central Business District of the City of Cape Town, edged by Riebeek Street, Lower Burg Street, Waterkant Street and St. George’s Mall. The scope of landscape intervention focuses on Riebeek Street and Lower Burg Street. Riebeek Street is edged with restaurant spaces while Lower Burg Street houses the buildings lobby as well as cafe spaces. 

The landscape intervention aims to create a soft green edge to the building by introducing tree planting and soft landscaping to mediate the scale on the tall built form with the pedestrian environment.
